1994 honda accord EX IS used 6 months of the year as it IS left at condo and has $17,400 miles. It IS a perfect running car. On december 19, 2017 an icon showed up on the dashboard. It said "check". Was told it had something to do with the engine. Was going to bring it to mechanical station as it was late. After driving on a heavy traffic main road, it stopped in the middle of the road with no warning. It was pushed to the side and had to be towed. It was about $450.00. I now see the car was recalled for this years ago. I never got a recall warning. The reason I am writing this IS because if there was a car in back of me, it would have been bad. If driving on I95 where cars go to 85 miles an hour, it would have been disastrous. this car IS excellent and I was told by delray honda that "this engine will last forever". cars shouldn't be allowed to be sold to the public where it IS possible to just stop while in motion. It was a distributor. Have a receipt if needed.

Key was removed from ignition switch while the transmission shift lever was inadvertantly left in the " drive " position. vehicle had rolled about 20 feet in a parking lot when I returned. this IS not supposed to happen if the " ignition interlock " IS functioning correctly. *tr
I was driving locally applying the brake when the pedal went down nearly to the floor. I was able to get the car to my mechanic a short distance away. the brake line had ruptured just aft of the gas tank where it passes transversely over the frame to the right rear wheel. the line fore and aft IS coated but this section IS not and had corroded. the condition of the brake line at this point IS not visible to inspection when the car IS on a hoist. *tr
I was approaching a red light, starting to gradually apply brakes more than 200 feet away from the intersection. There's only one car in front of me; it already stopped in front of the intersection. When my car was about 15 feet away from the front car, I felt a sudden loss of braking power, and would have a direct collision with the front car. I immediately made a sharp left turn. My car's right front light area hit the front car's left rear bumper. My car continued moving, and finally stopped on the curb/grass by the side of the intersection. Later the tow truck driver confirmed that my car had no brakes at all, which was also later confirmed by professional mechanics. prior to the accident, we (my girlfriend and i) had the car for 7 years. We had never had brake problems. The accident took place toward the end of a 250-mile round trip high way driving. I didn't feel any brake problem during the driving before the accident. *tr
I was involved in a car accident traveling 35 mph, where I hit the passenger side of another vehicle with my front end. During the impact I recall my body moving forward, the seat belt restraining me, and my head continued to move forward hitting my chest. Due to the late deployment of the airbag, the impact of the airbag occurred on top of my head. I was knocked unconscious and it complicated the injuries to my neck and head. I also received an airbag burn on my right wrist from the escaping gas from the airbag vent. *tr
I was stopped waiting to make a left turn when I was hit from the rear by another vehicle... my seat broke and it left me in a reclining position. *tr

Clear coat on vehicle began to fail in 2004. Over seven years, has become extensive. I did complain to dealer and honda even thought it was out of warranty. Was told it was "an old car". At this point, perhaps 40 percent of painted metal has clear coat missing (peeled). have seen many other hondas with same problem. *Tr

TL* the contact owns a 1994 honda accord. The contact was driving approximately 45 mph and noticed blue and black smoke emitting from the hood area. The vehicle was pulled over and the contact inspected under the hood and detected no flames. There was an excessive amount of oil was leaking from the engine. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer four different times for the same failure. The first occurrence, the cam shaft seals were replaced. The failure continued with no resolutions. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
Car was difficult to start twice. I thought nothing of the issue. driving home from work in may 2010 and the entire car went dead. no power to the engine or any accessories. luckily I was not in traffic or else the situation could have ended much differently with a complete loss of power. I coasted to a stop and wiggled the key, and limped it home with the hazard lights on. I researched the problem on the internet and traced the issue to a defective ignition switch. I ordered a beckarnley #201-1807 switch to replace the old one. the old switch was clearly worn and had burn marks on the metal, thus causing the lack of conduction in the ignition system. the car IS running perfectly now. I believe this should be a recall as it IS for other model years of the same model (honda accord). *Tr
Tl*the contact owned a 1994 honda accord. The contact stated that the key should not be removed from the vehicle unless the gear shift selector was in park. On july 5, 2010, the vehicle was in drive when the key came out of the ignition causing the vehicle to roll out of the driveway into a ditch near his neighbors residence. The wheels were straddled on both sides of the ditch. no injuries were reported. the police were not notified. The vehicle was destroyed. the failure mileage was approximately 122,000. Updated 09/15/10. *Lj updated 09/16/10
TL* the contact owns a 1994 honda accord. The vehicle had goodyear assurance comforted tires, size p19560r15, dot M6V9. The contact stated the rear tires were replaced. Within four months, the tires exhibited tread failure. On a later date, while driving at low speeds and exiting a driveway, the front driver's tire failed. All four tires were purchased new in 2005. The failure and current mileages were unknown. Updated 08/11/10. *Lj the consumer stated each tire developed a bulge on the sidewall. one of the tires popped. updated 08/11/10

After having the vehicle for about a week, the left tire rod broke on the car.,,,, it was towed to a service center to get repaired on 2/13/2010, then as I drove the car on 2/16/2010, the steering wheel pulled very hard to the right enabling me to steer, and crashed me into a big curve...i was rushed to the hospital and had to undergo 2 surgeries with having to get a tracheostomy in place..i still have it as of today. I am undergoing therapy, outpatient surgery and frequent er visits.. *Tr
