Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. the front coil springs may not have sufficient corrosion resistance in areas of the country where significant amounts of de-icing salts are applied to roads in the winter.
If a broken spring comes out of the lower seat, it could contact and puncture the tire.
Dealers will replace the front coil spring.
Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. water can enter and displace the grease in the wiper arm linkage ball joint where the wiper linkage attaches to the wiper motor linkage.
This can result in gradual wear over a period of time inside the joint that could lead to the separation of the wiper linkage assembly from the wiper motor linkage at the ball joint. a loss of windshield wiper function can result in this separation occurs.
To prevent grease from being washed out of the joint, the dealers will modify by adding a water diversion seal that will prevent water from entering the windshield wiper linkage ball joint area.
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) hydraulic actuator was not properly purged of all air during the fill and evacuation process causing air bubbles to get into the brake system.
This condition can cause increased brake pedal travel and stopping distances.
Dealers will bleed the ABS hydraulic actuator to remove any air bubbles in the brake system.

TL* the contact owns a 1995 nissan sentra. The contact was driving approximately 60 mph in rainy weather conditions with the windshield wipers activated and suddenly the wipers failed to operate. The contact drove with caution to the side of the road and waited until the rain subsided; and then resumed in operation. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnosis. The technician informed the faulty motor linkage contributed to the failure. There was a recall associated with nhtsa campaign ID number 98v093000 (visibility: windshield wiper/washer: linkages). The manufacturer was notified and they advised the vin was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000. Bought four toyo Z800 ultra tires as a set on march 22, 2003, when my 1995 nissan sentra GLE had 134492 miles. car was properly aligned, wheels properly balanced, and tires properly inflated at all times. replaced one tire december 21, 2007 at 177988 miles; because of sidewall cracks and a thrown chunk of tread (roughly quarter-sized). replaced other three tires december 13, 2008 when my car had 189006 miles; because of tread area cracks and light cracking on sidewalls (pictures available). (note: those three z800s had identical dot numbers and to the best of my knowledge, the fourth did also.) a representative of the original dealer IS giving me a prorated refund of the original purchase price, which I consider to be a satisfactory resolution. *Tr

Malfunction indicator on dash board and problem in idle air control system, rough idle and resulting in low gas mileage. *ak
The heat shield over the catalytic converter rusted prematurely and fell off. the dealers claimed this part was not essential and no repairs were made. still concerned me. I also have had an unusual history of electrical related problems, to wit: (1) power window switch replaced twice; (2) instrument light switch; (3) fan switch; (4) alternator, (5) both engine cooling fans. I think there IS a primary electrical problem causing all of these failures from the time I got the car, but the dealer says they must be coincidence. I never received any notification for the recalls involving the antilock breaks that I have or the front springs. I have always had one problem with antilock breaks that they have never been able to diagnose. when driving on ice, if I become stuck and the wheels spin any, then the antilock break light comes on and will not go out unless I shut off the motor and restart the engine. both of these items are listed here on your site. incident date IS estimated date for the heat shield. other items were at different times.*ak

I purchased a new throttle cable from pierces nissan on 10/01 and installed it myself. I noticed immediately that the throttle cable was very stiff and hard to move. before starting my car I checked operation of accelerator pedal and found that the throttle was slow to return to idle position. upon further investigation I noticed that the new cable was lubricated with a very heavy grease that impeded movement of the cable. during the winter months that followed the throttle returned to idle so slow that it was dangerous to drive the car. during the these past summer months it IS somewhat better, but still sluggish to return. I have contacted my dealership several times and they have ordered three replacement cables, all with the same proplem. I have also contacted nissan motor company twice with no results. I feel that it IS very dangerous to continue driving my car with the winter months approaching. any help would be appreciated.*ak

This valve failure caustes the engine to stop at low speeds one you start the ac. By contacting the dealer, I was advised that it IS a common problem with this car and nissan IS aware of the problem. Consumer contacted salesman at the dealership where purchased , but has not gotten a call back. consumer spoke with the service department, and was told vehicle was never serviced for the air bag. Mechanic in the service department stated that radiator support must have been hit in order for the air bag to go off.*ak *jb
