Icon Vehicle Dynamics, LLC (Icon) is recalling all 05-UP FSD 2.5 Centerline Stabilizer Kits with part number 65050. The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.

Remedy
Icon will notify owners, and dealers will install a new shock assembly with a revised foam ring and steel support disc, free of charge. The recall began December 21, 2020. Owners may contact Icon customer service at 1-951-689-4266.

Stahl is recalling certain model year 2009-2014 Ford F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, and F-550 Super Duty vehicles modified by Stahl and equipped with certain Muncie Power Products PTO Assemblies. I own a 2014 F350 diesel truck, my buddy owns a 2015 F350 diesel truck, a month or so ago he was driving down the road and his truck stalled/shut down on him driving down the road causing his steering wheel to lock up, he was barley able to get it onto the shoulder and it left him stranded since his truck wouldn't start back up. He brought it to a shop and come to find out it was his high pressure fuel pump. Fast forward a little further, he did some research and found out that ford put faulty fuel pumps on all their diesel trucks, the pumps can't handle us diesel, it's not lubricated enough for the pumps, so the pump destroys itself and sends metal shards through the whole entire fuel system. So he was stuck paying a $6,XXX bill to get it fixed. Fast forward I found out they make a 'disaster prevention kit' so when the pump fails the metal doesn't get through the whole system you only have to replace the pump which IS $1,XXX. So I bought the kit and had it installed on my truck but it was too late my system got wiped out. So now I'm out $6,XXX to get it fixed which I can't afford. Ford wont do anything about it because there's no recall. I've done more research and found out the new diesel trucks from ford still have the same fuel pump. This should be recalled, it's only a matter of time till other people start having failures. I would be pissed if I spent $70,xxx on a truck only to have to spend more to fix the fuel system. Nobody IS aware of this issues yet but something must be done about it.

Multiple times while driving on highway at 50 mph the vehicle starts shaking violently and only way to correct it IS to jam on the brakes and get down to around 25mph and then re accelerate...an inate amount of ppl have this same problem I hope that ford will address.this issue with a recall before ppl are killed because of this obvious flaw in their design!

My newer p/u just outside of warranty IS leaking from the radiator. Seems to be on ongoing issue with the 6.7 l engine. Ford will not stand behind their product and assist with the large cost of fixing. Ford dealership took a look at it and says it needs a new radiator. This should not be happening around 40K miles. Just a few drops on the ground each day on the garage floor.

This vehicle IS equipped with automatic headlights. Regardless of switch position, the instrument cluster lights stay off when the sensor detects any daylight at all. The design of the dash makes seeing the speedometer either extremely difficult or impossible, on overcast days and in low light situations. This IS a known issue, but the manufacturer does not acknowledge it as a problem.

The pickup truck was purchased brand new from the dealership, and it IS inherent to what IS known as the "death wobble." this mainly happens when the vehicle IS on the highway generally while in the speed between 55 and 60 mph, during a course of slight turn either to the right or to the left when impacted by a slight bump, the truck goes into a violent shaking. the attempt of applying the brakes would make the symptoms worse. the attempt of increasing speed would again make the symptoms worse. steering IS almost none existent as the steering wheel IS shaking profusely. ford manufacturer IS aware of this issue, yet no resolution by them. the dealership has been given ample opportunity to fix the truck, but they have not been able to. the problem continues and IS also plaguing other similar vehicles. the link attached here will show you two separate episodes of what happens and how dangerous this vehicle IS to the public. Since I bought the truck in may of 2014 I have experienced uneven braking, meaning most of the time when I brake, the vehicle pulls to the right hard. Less so on the left. On august 6TH, 2014 I took my 2014 ford f350xl super duty to varney ford in newport maine to have the vehicle looked at. They replaced both brake calipers and pads. I drove the my truck to tennessee on august 15TH, 2014 with our 16,000lb 5TH wheel camper on the back, during the trip I had to do 2 emergency brakings in 3 lane traffic. The truck lurched to the right both times and I had to fight the wheel to keep the truck straight! It kept doing it on our way back home to maine as well. It has done this for quite some time and on july 30TH of 2015 I took my truck to hight ford in skowhegan, maine for an unusual noise in the drive line. They put the vehicle on the lift and checked everything out. The mechanic brought me to the truck that was on the lift and showed me the excess brake dust on the rims. He asked me to try to turn the right side wheel, it was hard to turn. He told me that this IS where the problem could be. The left wheel turned without effort but the right side was stuck. I told the mechanic of the problems that I have with braking and that it pulls hard to the right. They checked on bulletins and there IS one bulletin on unusual braking on these vehicles. This IS the 3RD set of calipers put on this truck and still the brakes are pulling to the right. I am heading out to tennessee on august 14TH 2015 and I am quite certain that this problem will occur again. The day after having the brakes "fixed" for the 3RD time the rims are covered in excess brake dust. Not only IS this slowing my vehicle down to give me lower mileage it IS also a safety hazard if I have to brake hard again on a crowded highway and slam into a few cars as well. What happens then?

I ordered a new F-350 power stroke diesel in november. I waited until jan 22 for it to be delivered to me. $65,000. When I went to pick it up at sunrise ford in ft pierce florida, it looked like the wheel hubs were rusted so I looked underneath. I could not believe what I saw. The entire carriage to the drive train was not only corroded and rusted, but holes were developing in the drive shaft, the tie rods, the carriage bolts, the wheel supports, the u-joints...not surface rust. It was as though the truck parts were taken from a junk yard. The dealer told me they are all like that. Sure enough, when I looked under all the trucks they were all rotted out...beautiful box put on rotted chasses. The thing IS that when you tow tens of thousands of pounds with these "work horses", it IS the chassis that needs to be strong and when it IS already oxidizing, it IS good for nothing. I took back my deposit and began traveling to north palm and other dealers....same thing...rusted and rotted out chasis, chasis parts, drive train and parts and bolts and other components. we made them lift the truck so I could see if it was an old vehicle they were passing off as NEW....9 miles on the odometer, traveled by freight...not driven...and the year on the sticker in the door was 2014/jan. when I asked what other people do...he said, "no one ever thinks to look underneath....by the way...the chasis IS only warrantied for three years...then ford washes their hands of it! what happened to america?this needs to be put on the social media. Recall 13V-535 was limited to a relatively small population of Ambulance Package vehicles and ODI received complaints of pickup trucks and Fire Engine Prep Package…
The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened this RQ to investigate allegations that the scope and remedy of safety recall 13V-535 were inadequate. Recall 13V-535 was limited to a relatively small population of Ambulance Package vehicles and ODI received complaints of pickup trucks and Fire Engine Prep Package vehicles being affected by the same defect. Ford manufactured approximately 555,985 subject vehicles between February 22, 2010 and January 30, 2015 that may be affected by defective EGT sensors and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software calibration. The subject vehicles are equipped with four (4) EGT sensors to monitor engine operating conditions. An EGT sensor fault may produce false exhaust over-temperature signals. If these signals are produced, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) implements a Failure Management Effects Mode (FMEM) and the driver receives a Stop Safely Now (SSN) system warning on the instrument cluster message center. The FMEM triggers a 70% reduction in available engine power over a period of no more than 45 seconds, during which it may not be possible to accelerate or maintain vehicle speed. The PCM then commands the engine to shut down when vehicle speed reaches approximately 1 mph. There is no immediate restart capability. Depending on the PCM software calibration, ignition key position and ambient temperature conditions, the engine may not restart until the end of a 10-60 minute cool down period.Ford and its component supplier(s) made numerous changes to the PCM software calibration and the design, material and manufacture of the EGT sensors over the period of subject vehicle production. This continuous product improvement affected vehicle performance regarding the alleged defect. Ford acknowledges the defect condition in the subject vehicles but argues that an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety is limited to Ambulance Package and Fire Engine Prep Package vehicles where commanded shutdown could impact emergency response and patient care. Ford also argues that the defect trend is in decline. Ford also initiated a new safety recall (15V-175) to address the 13V-535 remedy concerns in the Ambulance Package vehicles and Fire Engine Prep Package vehicles. The 15V-175 remedy reprograms the PCM with a new software calibration that stops a single EGT sensor fault to cause the vehicle to enter the FMEM shutdown mode.Ford also initiated an EPA emissions recall (14E03) for all subject vehicles that reprograms the PCM with the software calibration employed in safety recall 15V-175. Finally, Ford initiated a Customer Satisfaction Program (15M01) providing extended warranty coverage of 8 years or 80,000 miles for the the EGT sensors on certain MY2011-2012 subject vehicles.Due to the EPA emissions recall, that had a 66.6% completion rate in Ford's December 2015 progress report to the EPA, the defect trend is in decline. ODI is not aware of any crashes, deaths or injuries related to the alleged defect.ODI believes the alleged defect poses a safety risk but notes that the EPA emissions recall is addressing the safety problem.Compelling issuance of a duplicate recall would not represent a wise use of agency resources.Accordingly, this Recall Query is closed.This action is not a finding that no defect exists and NHTSA will take further action if such action is warranted.

If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.
- 10228867Some 2011-2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit a ticking noise at idle after an engine oil change. It is often referred to as Typewriter Noise because of its similarity to the sound of a mechanical typewriter. When engine temperatures reach 150 F (65 C) or higher, (from engine idle up to approximately 1700 RPM's), this noise can typically be heard at the front wheel well and is often isolated to the transmission bell housing or oil pan area. Typewriter Noise is not detrimental to engine function or durability and has no short or long term effects on the engine. Do not attempt repairs to eliminate this noise. This noise is characteristic of the 6.7L diesel engine and will typically cease or diminish significantly within the oil change maintenance interval.
- 10212957Some 2013-2023 Ford or Lincoln vehicles with modems activated through FordPass or LincolnWay may experience 12 volt battery drain symptoms when the customer uses non-Ford/Lincoln phone applications as an alternate channel to access vehicle commands such as door lock/unlock, remote start, vehicle location, etc. The battery drain may be caused by excessive calls for data through the vehicle network keeping it in an activated state. Recommend that the customer uninstall the app to ensure this is not contributing to battery symptoms experienced. Advise the customer that unaffiliated third-party app developers do not work directly with Ford to adhere to security, vehicle communication, and privacy requirements.

This program only applies if an SCR (converter) fault is detected and it is related to a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P20EE identified after 21E01 has been performed. This is a one-time repair.

- 10194421Some 2011-2021 vehicles equipped with a diesel engine may have engine oil in the exhaust after turbocharger replacement for various reasons. To correct the condition, remove the exhaust and stand the exhaust up with the turbocharger inlet side facing down using a suitable drain pan. Allow the exhaust to drain for at least 24 hours and reinstall. Do not perform a manual exhaust regeneration.

- 101865672011-2021 F-Super Duty and 2016-2021 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit a high/elevated idle condition. During prolonged idle time, vehicles may experience this high/elevated idle to reduce buildup of unburned hydrocarbons from the SCR system. The powertrain control module (PCM) estimates hydrocarbon levels in the SCR and may increase idle speed to remove them. Idle speed will be increased to 1000 revolutions per minute (rpms) for ambient temperatures near 26C (80F) and may increase to as high as 1200 rpms at -40 C (-40F). These elevated idle periods can last from 20-40 minutes, depending on ambient temperatures. During power take off (PTO) use and already using idle set point control, the elevated speed is disabled. It is required that the operator monitor the vehicle and adhere to the Exhaust Filter warning messages.

- 10179325Some 2011-2020 F-Super Duty, 2015-2019 Transit, 2016-2021 F-650/F-750 and 2018-2020 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L, 3.2L or 3.0L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P207F, P20EE, P229F, P2201 and/or P24AE. This may be a result of using aftermarket cleaning liquids or tools for the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler or intake. Ford does not recommend the cleaning of diesel intakes or EGR coolers using any aftermarket tool that injects a cleaning foam or liquid substance into the EGR cooler or intake. Using these types of fluids can result in sodium poisoning of the NOx and particulate matter (PM) sensors resulting in degraded operation and permanent damage to the after treatment system. Use of these cleaning tools may void the emissions warranty of the hot end after treatment exhaust system and the attached emissions sensors.
- 10172972SSM 48619 - Various Vehicles - Perimeter Alarm Armed And Original Vehicle Keys Cannot Be Accessed to Enter Vehicle - CAN Protection Strategy Some 2013-2016 Model Year Vehicles may exhibit a concern in which the Perimeter Alarm is active and the original keys cannot be accessed to disable the perimeter alarm. This concern would most often occur when a customer loses keys and the dealership is attempting to program new keys to the vehicle. The Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-01A Perimeter Anti-Theft Alarm - System Operation and Component Description has been updated to inform of the Controller Area Network (CAN) Protection Strategy. Follow the procedure outlined to prevent replacement of the Body Control Module (BCM) on CAN Protection Strategy equipped vehicles when original keys are lost and perimeter alarm is active. Refer to the WSM for further detail on the CAN Protection Strategy. Lost keys and replacement of BCM for lost keys is non-warrantable.

- 10164598Some remanufactured 6.7L diesel engines recently installed in 2011-2014 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a lack of power with engine oil temperature (EOT) exceeding 125C (257F) under loads. This may also be accompanied by REDUCED ENGINE POWER being displayed in the message center and the coolant temperature gauge indicating H. This symptom may be due to a missing metering cup plug in the upper oil pan causing reduced oil flow through the oil cooler. Remanufactured engines built on 1-Mar-2019 and through 13-May-2019 may be affected. If a vehicle exhibits this concern, use the Report a Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of the OASIS tab and submit a report. Include the engine serial number and engine build date in the report. The dealership may be contacted for further details and possible repair direction.
- 10164508Some 2010-2020 vehicles may exhibit distorted glass with a subtle orange peel pattern or streaking etched into the surface. This is caused by hydrofluoric acid which is used in some car wash solutions as a cleaning agent. Hydrofluoric acid can attack the glass and cause visual distortion and/or discoloration on the outer surface which cannot be removed by further cleaning. If this type of distortion is found, inspect the area of the glass that is covered by the cowl and/or molding. The portion of glass that is covered by the cowl or molding will not be affected by the acid. Hydrofluoric acid damage is not a defect in material or workmanship and is not a warrantable condition.
- 10164497For Ford and Lincoln vehicles that require positive or negative battery terminal replacement, it is not necessary to replace the complete battery cable harness (14300 and 14301) for this concern. Positive battery cable clamp BT4Z-14450-AA and negative battery cable clamp BT4Z-14450-BA are available for this type of repair. Do not cut or shorten the battery cable, instead carefully remove the affected battery cable clamp and clean the cable end as necessary to preserve wire length. Some rework may be necessary for some vehicle environments. Bend the new positive battery cable clamp as needed and crimp it to the existing battery cable. Make sure to use heat shrink tubing over the battery cable to battery cable clamp connection. Obtain the heat shrink tube locally.
- 10162082Some 2011-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may come in for scheduled maintenance on the engine mounted fuel filter. When reconnecting a fuel line quick connect fitting back onto the engine mounted fuel filter housing, push the connector all the way onto the fuel filter connection port. For some vehicles, you may need to depress a retainer clip to lock the quick connect port into place. Once the fitting is latched fully onto the connection port, pull straight backward on the fuel line to verify it is fully latched onto the connection port. Do not bend the fuel line connection when pulling to verify it is connected. Refer to Workshop Manual sections 310-00 for details on quick connect fittings.
- 10160931On vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission it is imperative that the converter pilot hub be greased with Motorcraft Multi-Purpose Grease Spray XL-5-A even if grease was not applied from the factory. Also verify that the engine/transmission alignment dowel pins are present as well as the engine crankshaft dowel pin, if equipped, when installing the transmission. Failure to adequately lubricate the converter hub greatly increases the likelihood of the flexplate cracking in the future. Missing dowels may cause a misalignment issue also resulting in a premature failure. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01.
