Nissan IS recalling certain model year 2004-2006 armada, titan, infiniti QX56 and model year 2005-2006 frontier, pathfinder and xterra vehicles. the intelligent power distribution module (ipdm) assembly contains an engine control module (ecm) relay that has a diode for electrical current noise reduction. The ecm relay may allow silicon vapor to form and…
This could cause engine stalling increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the ecm relay inside the ipdm assembly. This service will be performed free of charge. the safety recall began on december 6, 2010. owners may contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

Certain hopkins aftermarket trailer brake control connection harnesses sold for use on certain models of nissan vehicles which are listed above. the internal part numbers within hopkins are: 1010476025, 1040376025, 1110476025, 1170376025, 1290376025, 1010476035, 1040376035, 1110476035, 1170376035, and 1290376035. a wire may have been placed in an…
This harness would result in power from the trailer brake controller going to the towing vehicle dash light circuit rather than the trailer brakes. this result would be the lack of trailer braking when the towing vehicle brakes were applied. it would also result in the towing vehicles dash lights being activated when the vehicle brakes were applied. the failure of the application of the trailer brake could result in reduced ability to stop and contribute to a possible crash.
Hopkins will notify owners and replace the original harness with a revised harness free of charge. the recall began august 17, 2007. owners can contact hopkins at 800-835-0129.
On certain crew cab model trucks, the seat back shape may be such that there may not be sufficient webbing on the retractor spool for the rear center seat belt to release from the automatic locking mode (alr) after it IS engaged and the seat belt IS retracted. if this occurs, there may be difficulty in pulling the seat belt out of the retractor thus…
In the event of a crash, a seat occupant may not be properly restrained increasing the risk of personal injury.
Dealers will replace the rear center seat belt with a new one free of charge. the recall began on june 11, 2007. owners may contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
On certain king cab trucks, the wires in the harness were routed through the rear doors and into the body. these wires may break due to over bending of the harness as the door IS opened and closed. the harness contains wires for the driver seat belt pretensioner and for the front passenger seat belt which IS part of the occupant classification system.…
If the wires for the seat belts and speaker wires break and make contact, there IS a possibility that the pretensioner may deploy. if this happens when the seat belt IS retracted, it will not be possible to use the seat belt. if one of the wires on the right side harness for the seat belt tension sensor breaks, the passenger side front air bag will not deploy as designed in a frontal collision increasing the risk of a crash and personal injury.
Dealers will replace the wire harness cover with a different type that prevents over bending of the harness and the harness will be rerouted free of charge. the recall began on february 19, 2007. owners may contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
On certain pickup trucks equipped with a column shifter, the shift lever assembly for the column shifter may have been damaged during assembly.
During its use this could eventually result in failure of the portion of the assembly that holds the lever in the park position. this could result in a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the shifter. the recall began on september 27, 2004. owners should contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
Certain pickup trucks fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 201, "occupant protection in interior impact." an area on the rear pillar where the rear seat belt upper anchor IS attached may not be sufficiently energy absorbent.
This could result in an increased risk of injury if the area IS struck in a crash.
Dealers will replace the outboard rear seat belt assemblies with new ones. the recall began on september 27, 2004. owners should contact nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
Brakes - sitting at the used car dealership since 8.8.2025. The truck will not stop when the brakes are applied. If the vehicle does not stop when brakes are applied. Lives are at risk if they are hit or ran over. Inspected by a Nissan dealership, invoices are available. The Brake Booster is no longer manufactured by Nissan. No repair is available. Unknown. No accidents have occurred due to this, we are in fear of our safety to drive it. The Sales manager at the dealership disconnected the ABS. We purchased this vehicle on 6.23.2025. The Brakes were not working within driving this vehicle for less than 3 weeks. We have made a formal complaint to the dealership. Taken it to a certified Nissan Dealer. The dealership we purchased this truck from has ignored every request we have made. We hired an attorney here in St. George, UT. The dealership has not replied to our Attorney. This Vehicle is NOT SAFE to be driven on the roads. We would like to know what the safety measures are in place for a USED vehicle dealership to sell an AS-IS-VEHICLE. Please see that I have attached all of our documentation we have provided to the State of Utah, our Attorney and to the Motor Vehicle Division of the State of Utah. A persons safety in their vehicle is a must.

I was driving down a main road by my office, accelerating when the car suddenly stalled. As the truck was independently decelerating, the steering wheel became hard to steer due to the truck being "off". I managed to force it to turn to a shoulder so as to not get rear ended by vehicles behind me. I could've been on the highway with traffic speeds up to 70mph and it would've been a different scenario. I later found out that the 1/4 fuel on the gauge was faulty and I was out of gas. I went to the NHTSA website to find out 2005 model Titans were included in the recall but not my 2004.
Purchased a used 2004 Nissan titan truck with lower miles. Rear axel exploded and burst into flames when driving down the freeway. (Bowling Green, Kentucky) We managed to pull off to the side of the freeway without hitting anyone. Fire dept was able to put the flames out. Didn't find any recalls about the Truck when we bought it. Now I have seen reports on line that this has happened to other consumers. Something needs to be done to warn consumers. We could have died. We could of hit others and killed them as well. Dealership has completed repairs and seen the defect. We have the damaged part. There were no prior warnings. Vehicle was inspected before the road trip to insure it was safe.
When I drive my truck under rain or wet road I have several incidents if my truck tires slip the truck goes out of control if I keep pressing the pedal. Is scary feeling specially because losing control under rain is to unsafe. I know it that on my dashboard the airbags warning is blinking is that has something to do with my incidents ? Can you guys fix this problem thank you. Is raining season and I don't want to suffer injuries or death
The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Titan. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly stall with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who could not determine the cause of the failure. The contact performed a diagnostic test and determined that the engine control module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact was informed that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V517000 (Engine). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 255,000.
My Titan is a 4 door not 2, also I am not sure if these recalls I saw are related to the problems I am having but my light indicator (as in the pictures I provided) has come on twice I immediately turn it off and I wait for the engine to cool it gets really hot but it doesn't indicate any over heating on the dash indicators (it might just be me but it seems hot enough to be overheating) and once cooled i check the fluids and refill the oil as needed (coolant level been fine) but this has happened to me now 2 times in a 3 day period so I believe there is a leak. Also about my shifter I'm not sure if this applies but I have the shifter you can switch to manual (I've never switch to manual bc I don't know how to drive manual) but I have an issue with it just in automatic sometimes when I shift from park to drive it doesn't seem to switch from park to drive and the vehicle stays in the parked position while the shift is in drive and I have to shift back to park wait a second and then shift back into drive a second time before I get the truck into driving mode. I added some pictures of recalls that are for my year make and model truck that seem like the same issues I'm dealing with and wasn't sure if they applied to my vehicle and just got missed with the amount of owners it's had
The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle and depressing the brake pedal, the pedal travel distance was extended, and the vehicle would not immediately stop. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as designed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. No service was performed. The failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000.
I purchased this truck on 04/05/18 from Harbor motors Lihue Kauai, and not even a week into having this truck it started acting up, overheating, the truck wouldn't turn over, suspensions, the four-wheel-drive wouldn't disengage, when you turn the key to start the vehicle it would make a clicking noise before starting, the AC would work when it wanted to, and the transmission and engine started knocking. The next week I went running errands and when I pulled out of my yard the truck started jerking then pressed the gas and it revved really high before slamming into drive. Since then I haven't driven the truck. And today it looks like someone just smashed into the front driver light to the side and smashed it while being parked at the place I purchased the truck from. I've continuously asked for help with little to no help at all. The truck is no longer drivable and I'm still making payments on it. The lights on the dashboard has the Check enigine light on, snd the ABS
While driving for 20 minutes and I'D say 25 miles per hour, my truck just stalls the electrical system working, but no engine power! The truck just stop running. In my attempt to restart the engine the starter will turn but no start. I am now stranded in traffic and if it was not for good samaritans who help me push the truck to the curb. This happened twice in the last couple of days. I've replaced my battery and it died for second time! Thankfully I was on the city street both times. Both times I waited awhile tried to start up with no success, but it started only afterwards getting a jump start!? The battery IS brand new and the hope of finding the answer IS websites at lease in the hopes of some answer and directions. eve since replaced the battery I'
There was a recall on my airbag/seatbelt and it since has gone out after being fixed, but they said that it was past the warranty. I had thought that airbags are life of the vehicle parts.
The vehicle brakes frequently go out and start to shake and make a springy noise when you push down on them and the brakes lose power and cannot be applied safely. this may lead to a crash and nissan cannot diagnose this with certainty so intervention from nhtsa IS needed. I have learned that there IS a possible faulty delta computer sensor and/or brake booster that nissan cannot problem solve very well. this problem could or has led to crashes when you cannot apply the brakes at speed. it only happens when driving and the only way to stop it IS for the vehicle to be pulled over to the side of the road and shut off and restarted. Please put out a recall for this so that way there are no crashes that can injury my family or others.
Same times losing brakes brake pedal very sponge soft and hardly no brakes to stop the car and the same time makes fun noise and brake light go on .when this happens sun I come to a complete stop I turn off the ignition and I start ignition again and it get back to normal I ben have this problem for a list 12 years I think this happens a list once a month.
TL* the contact owns a 2004 nissan titan. The contact stated that on two separate occasions, the cv axle located on the front differential detached from the vehicle while driving at various speeds, without warning. The contact had yet to take the vehicle to be serviced or diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that there was no recall on the vehicle. The contact was also informed that the vehicle was out of warranty and no further assistance was offered. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.
This seems to be an issue for a lot of people so I'm officially reporting. I've owned this car for 16 years. in that time, I've repeatedly had issues with the braking system at different times starting in 2006, but definitely in 2009. I've brought it up with dealers in both saco, me & wake forest, nc. each time they cannot find a problem. finally after the last time the dealer said there was a bulletin about the computer needing an update. which cost multiple hundreds to install. this install definitely decreased the incidents of multiple brake failings while driving, but didn't completely fix the problem. I'm just now learning that it's a faulty delta stroke sensor in the brake booster and IS a known problem to nissan for the titan and armada models. I never got the postcard about the class action lawsuit, but it wouldn't have helped since they never identified the issue or maybe even hid it from me during my visits. because of this I'm out of the window for the lawsuit and am still having problems. my '04 still only has 78,000 miles and multiple other people are having this same issue. nissan just had to pay 25 million to a family that was hit by one of these affected vehicles, but still will not claim there IS an issue with the delta sensor and brake booster. please make them fix this issue to save lives and pay for something they know has been an issue for a very long time. the booster can be reset and the problem goes away, but to do this you have to stop the car with the brakes fluttering and not responding. then you shut off the car for 10 seconds and restart the car. this usually fixes the issue, but it can return at any time. usually when you've already been driving for awhile. started back in 2006, but got worse in 2009. computer fix lessened issue, but still occurs at random times.
1/ I was driving on highway when truck just shut down . Fuel gauge reads that truckhas 1/4 tank left of fuel but gas tank empty. 2/ while driving the brake pedal goes to the floor like it has no brakes. I check the fluids and its full. Turn the truck off and on and it works again . *tr
