I received a recall notice for my 2009 Nissan Titan. I have brought the truck to Premier Nissan, 6636 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA on multiple occasions to have the work performed without success. I last brought the truck in March 07, 2024, at which time I was told that the airbag emblem needed to be replaced. [XXX] . The part was supposed to be ordered and in within two weeks. I called Premier Nissan several times since March 07, 2024, without resolution. I called today, August 08, 2024, and was told that the dealership records did not even indicate that the part had been ordered. Additionally, to add further insult, I was told that the truck must again be brought in for another inspection despite the fact that it had been inspected and found defective on March 07, 2024. This is unacceptable. Your assistance in resolving this matter is appreciated. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
When driving my fuel gage shows a quarter tank but my tank is empty. Other 2009 Nissan Titans, they have the recall from March 2010. But my vin doesnt have it. Even though im having the exact same issue.
As I backed into a parking spot I proceeded to try to switch from drive to reverse to straighten out and the lever went floppy. I am stuck in drive with the emergency brakes engaged. The wires under the column shifter wore at just the right time to what appears would be the clock spring!!
The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that the air bag emblem had separated; however, the air bag emblem cover remained attached. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V067000 (Air Bags) which was linked to the failure. Additionally, the contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated, and the horn was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer, where it was diagnosed. The dealer determined that the clockspring had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 285,000.
My fuel gauge on my truck does not work properly. When my gauge shows a quarter tank full its completely empty. The reason i know it doesn't is because it died on me in the middle of an intersection and blocked traffic. The gauge still showed a quarter tank of gas. I had it towed to an auto repair shop and they ended up putting a few gallons of fuel in it and then it started. I do see that there is a recall for this exact issue ( campaign # R1010 and NHTSA # 10v-074 )and i would like to have it repaired before any serious accident happens.
Air bags did not deploy with front end damage.
Our 2009 Nissan Titan was involved in a roll over accident and no air bags deployed. The driver side air bags did NOT deployed at all. My son ended up with a broken collarbone, fractured back rib and possibly humorous fracture on muscle injuries the accident. My insurance company has inspected the vehicle and has possession of it at a salvage yard. There were no indications that there was something wrong with the air bags or the air bag sensors.
My fuel pump issue IS currently a recall on my truck. I've tried for a month to get it into the local dealership and keep being put off til the next week. It finally quit completely and I had it towed. I was put off another week. I called the following week to be told again it would be another week on my truck. I told the supervisor that wasn't acceptable and was informed if I didn't like how he did buisness to come and get my truck.
While driving down the mountain I attempted to brake. the brake pedal had to be pushed entirely to floor to engage. It was difficult to get the truck to slow down. luckily after several attempts were made I was able to get the truck to stop. I took the truck to nissan to be evaluated. they stated it was a failure of the ABS actuator and said they looked it up and there were no recalls at this time. the failure of this part could have cost me my life.
Air bags did not deploy ran off road lost control hit 6 trees air bags didn't deploy passenger or passenger side. *Tt
My titan has only 34617 miles on it and the power steering unit went bad and also sent metal shavings into the rack and pinion steering. I have to pay nissan $1200.00 dollars to fix the power steering unit and try to flush out the metal shavings.if they can't flush out the system add another $2500.00 to replace the rack and pinion steering on my truck. $4000.00 to fix my truck with less than 35000 miles on it. This should not happen to a vehicle with low miles and has been well maintained and pampered since I bought it.i take very good care of this truck and nissan should have to foot this bill! help!!!!
TL* the contact owns a 2009 nissan titan. While driving unknown speeds, sparks emerged from the driver's side wheel well. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (bob richards nissan, 5590 jefferson davis highway, beech island, sc 29842), but the failure was unable to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. A technician specialist evaluated the vehicle and recommended a vehicle replacement. The manufacturer was notified and opened case number: 29363883. The contact was informed that the vehicle did not meet the lemon law requirements. The failure mileage was 16,000.
Part number 25060-zq60d had to be replaced on my vehicle. noticed that a cancelled recall on this vehicle had replaced a 25060-zq60b. same description happened with my vehicle. I was driving and gas gauge was reading a 1/4 tank of gas. the vehicle shutdown while in motion on the highway because of no gas in fuel tank. I made a complaint with nissan and was told since the recall was cancelled that there was nothing they can do to reimburse me.
I don't need to press the brake to put in or out of gear. Actually I don't even need the key turned on. Manual shift/ tow haul button doesn't work .front end makes all sorts of clunking noise.altough every thing seems tight eats a evap sensors and brakes. 105K miles still driving daily
Fuel tank on nissan tittan create a small evap leak that requires replacing the entire tank at an enormous cost
Exhaust leak underneath ABS electronic components leading to damage of ABS electronic components and possible ABS failure.
Multiple front differential leaks on pro-4x model, resulting in front differential failure. First differential leak occurred at 40,000. Second leak occurred within a after the first was replaced. Both replacement seals are/were genuine nissan parts.
A fire, seeming to start under the dash, spontaneously erupted and destroyed the entire vehicle and some very expensive property in the bed. The truck was setting still at the time. My understanding IS that this IS not an isolated case. I have never installed any after market equipment on the vehicle.
TL* the contact owns a 2009 nissan titan. While the vehicle was being serviced by the dealer for a routine oil change, the dealer noticed that the vehicle was louder than necessary. It was diagnosed that the exhaust manifold cracked and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 132,000.
TL* the contact owns a 2009 nissan titan. The contact stated that while driving at 50 mph, the power steering failed causing the vehicle to stall. In addition, the contact stated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated and the gauges fluctuated. The contact stated that the windows operated independently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 116,000.
Headlamp unit failure on this vehicle. Water intrusion into the unit causing moisture buildup with resulting cloudiness, calcium like etching, and spider web-like cracking of the plastic lens. Poor uv sun blocking ability of the plastic lens to retard yellowing & clouding. These defects in the headlamp unit construction present a safety hazard issue at night as it reduces the effectiveness and ability to project light beam at levels necessary for clear visual field. This vehicle has incurred complete headlamp unit assembly replacements to both driver & passenger sides twice since vehicle placed into new service in 2009. It appears the cheap plastic lens covers used in manufacturing IS the culprit. Use of glass for lens would eleminate these problems as glass does not deteriorate with sun or moisture.
The seat foam IS poor quality - the seat frame cut through the foam and I can now feel it on my back and bottom seat. while the vehicle was under warranty nissan replaced the back seat foam two or three times due to the frame pushing through the foam. now that the vehicle IS no longer under warranty and unless I want to spend a $1,000+ to replace the seat I am stuck with the pleasure of feeling the metal frame pushing into me in while driving vice the comfort of the cushions that should be between the seat frame and me. I doubt it IS safe to have such little cushion between me and the seat frame in the event of an accident.
Noticed a small fluid leak under my car, it looked like radiator fluid. I took the vehicle to my local nissan dealer to check it out. when the nissan technicians investigated the leak they informed me the leak was from the seams of the radiator and the radiator required replacement. I was told that this IS common and routine wear and tear for nissan. the 2009 titan has just over 41,000 miles and IS only driven on paved roads. it has no off-road mileage. I do not believe a properly designed radiator should leak from the seams after 6 years and low mileage.
