In 2017 at 60,062 miles the tail pipe corroded fell off. A repair was made at the eau claire nissan dealership were the cut and clamped it back together. Again as I write this the tail pipe has corroded and fell off. I have spoke with the dealership in eau claire as well as nissan north america. Case # 41900823. Sounds like they are filing a dealership complaint but real issue falls on nissan for building an inferior vehicle. A safety threat IS posed when the rusted exhaust components fall off and become road hazards. Additionally, if the broken tailpipe doesn't clear the vehicle it could get caught causing damage to other vital components like brake lines and/tires if it happens when driving down the road and could cause an accident. I think the early failure of the tailpipe needs to be addressed because not only does it pose a safety threat, I have read this IS an issue and nisan should not be passing the complaints to its dealership when this IS a design and/or quality of materials used issue. thanks, [xxx] redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6) *cc

The first issue IS the a/c system. When the system IS being run on the maximum setting there IS a audible ticking sound. This sound has been attributed to a part inside the ac unit that's made of plastic that goes bad really quick. The result of this IS no ac or no heat and a very expensive cost to repair. The entire dash has to be removed to accomplish the repair. the second issue IS the (bcm) body control module. This module controls all the accessory electronics inside and outside the vehicle (TPMS, door locks, horns, lights, turn signals, windows, trailer hitch etc.) nissan knows this IS an issue because of the hundreds of post online about various models of their vehicles with bcm issues. However they have not fixed the problem. There are hundreds many thousands of vehicles that don't have working electronics because nissan hasn't done a recall and the parts of too expensive for the customers to fix. My vehicle IS a 2011 with 58000 miles and none of the door locks work when trying to use the key fob. The TPMS comes and goes whenever it wants to. I've had the system reprogrammed and the issues still remain.

When operating a/c climate controls, the heater does not blow hot air, but rather cold air. While driving in the rain one day, I had set the controls to de-fog the windshield, only to make the scenario much worse due to absence of hot air needed to dehumidify the interior. Visibility from windshield was greatly reduced and could have very easily resulted in an accident. This issue has been noted multiple times through other sources. After calling nissan to explain the issue, the representative stated that a recall had been performed in december of 2011. Although I can find no evidence of the recall, other than through nissan itself, I can say that the part that should have been repaired IS no longer in operation, and continues to be a risk.

At 60,000 miles I noticed it started smoking when you would start it up and then I noticed it started using a lot of oil so I took it to the dealership and they would only want me to bring it back to them every couple of days to see how much oil it was using after that they did not want to mess with it. I really think the 2011 model nissan are lemons.

(1) I have experienced the same problem with the seatbelts in the back seat of my 2011 nissan titan. they tighten up on the occupants and I have to stop my truck in order to release them, but then they tighten up again. a switch for adults or children may fix the problem. (2) as well, the front floor mats that were installed at the dealer malfunctioned. the driver's floor mat had one hole for restraint and it should have had two holes. the floor mat caught up in the accelerator at a speed of approximately 50 kph and the engine revved wide open. I had to immediately put the truck in neutral and shut it off. that left me with no power steering and I was fortunate enough to get the truck to the side of the highway and remedy the problem. the dealership has since replaced the front floor mats and the probem IS solved. owners of the nissan titans should make sure that the proper floor mats are installed in their trucks prior to driving them. (3) these trucks should not be delivered with a p tire on them. at the very least they should have an LT tire. I have had three flat tires on my truck in 5 months and it IS not used on construction sites at all. *tr

On 09/07/2010, I took my 2006 nissan titan to for a safety recall on the fuel tank. Owner notification r1010 10v-074. The tank was removed from the truck and the sending unit was replaced. At the time, the vehicle had 9976 miles on it. On 07/10/2011, approximately ten months later, the vehicle had 10826 mile on it. I had only driven this vehicle 850 miles since the tank was removed. On this date while driving 65 mph, I heard the sound of something that made one tap under the floor board of the truck. The interior of the truck immediately filled with the smell of gasoline. At that moment the engine lost all power. I was forced to pull off onto the shoulder of the road. When we exited the truck, we noticed that there was a large pool of gasoline on the ground that came from the top of the tank. I was unable to locate the problem on my own because of the traffic passing me at seventy plus mph. I assumed the gas line had become disconnected from the tank, because when I tried to restart the engine, it started pumping gasoline from the top of the tank. I called a towing service to have the vehicle towed to a safe location where I could verify the problem safely. The hose line was disconnected from the tank. After reconnecting the line to the tank, the vehicle now runs properly. I feel that the person that did the recall work didn't snap the hose connection onto the tank securly. I was told by the service manager at that it would have been impossible for the truck to even have started if the fitting wasn't attached securly, because it was a pressureized system and the computer would not have allowed the enging to start he refused to pay my towing bill of $85.00, because he said, "you should have had it towed here to the dealership. That way we could have checked to see if it was something we did wrong." needless to say, we could have been killed because the hose was improperly connected. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(B)(6) *tt

- 10192840SERVICE INFORMATION Temporary tire Flat Spotting is common on New Dealer In-Stock vehicles that have not been occasionally moved. Flat Spotting can occur after the vehicle has been parked (not moved) for a few days, or longer. In most cases it is temporary. In extreme cases it can be permanent. Vehicles should be moved every 30 days, in one direction only, enough to rotate the tires 90 (see Figure 1). Moving vehicles as shown will prevent tire Flat Spotting. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192821SERVICE INFORMATION Replacement 5-speed rear wheel drive Automatic Transmission (A/T) assemblies and replacement control valves (valve bodies) now come with blank Transmission Control Modules (TCMs). Blank TCMs come without software and must be programmed (not reprogrammed) and then configured after they are installed. When ordering a replacement A/T or control valve, use the Nissan electronic parts information systems to obtain the correct software program part number See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192805IF YOU CONFIRM A refrigerant leak at a refrigerant pipe/hose joint location. ACTIONS 1. Inspect the metal surfaces of the pipe/hose joint for damage or contamination. NOTE: Do not replace a refrigerant pipe, hose, or other A/C component if an o-ring seal will solve the leak incident, if it should occur. 2. If no damage is found to the joint metal surfaces, replace the O-ring seal. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192801SERVICE INFORMATION Because of collision damage or other vehicle repair, a replacement "Certification Label" or "VIN Plate / Label" may be needed. These items may be available from Nissan by request if certain criteria are met. This bulletin lists the criteria and provides an application form for such replacements. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192750SERVICE INFORMATION Occasionally customers may notice water vapor or fog in the headlamps. The information, illustrations, and flow chart in this bulletin are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the headlamps is normal or not. Nissan?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192747IF YOU CONFRIM An oil leak at the right side block ball plug behind the alternator. ACTION Use a punch to seat the block ball plug in the hole (refer to the Service Procedure). NOTE - Do not replace the engine block for this incident if it should occur. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192727SERVICE INFORMATION The purpose of this bulletin is to give Nissan dealers guidelines to help determine if windshield breakage is covered under warranty or is the customer?s responsibility. Nissan North America (NNA) is not responsible for damage to glass that is a result of objects striking or scratching the glass. However, NNA is responsible for manufacturing issues such as distorted glass and cracks that are due to improper installation or damage to the glass during vehicle assembly. NNA typically does not find any type of cracks in the windshield due to stress after the dealership PDI. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192707SERVICE INFORMATION The Intelligent Keys used on the various Nissan vehicles may not be interchangeable between models and years. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192687SERVICE INFORMATION Design and process changes have been made to improve battery voltage at dealer receipt. Our goal is to deliver vehicles to customers with a 12 volt battery in excellent condition. Proper dealership storage and maintenance of vehicle 12 volt batteries is essential to insuring good battery operating life and customer satisfaction. Dealers are responsible for maintaining vehicles in their inventory. 12 volt batteries in vehicle inventory should always be kept at a full charge to prevent excessive discharge during storage and so they are ready for delivery to customers at any time. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192679SERVICE INFORMATION Power moonroof initialization procedures for the Applied Vehicles have been revised. The procedure described in this bulletin differs from the procedure in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). At a later date and where possible, the applicable ESMs will be updated with the revised procedures. Follow the procedure in this bulletin should the power moonroof in an Applied Vehicle need to be initialized. See this bulletin for further details.
- 10192677SERVICE INFORMATION Windshield "foreign material" that is on the surface of the glass in some cases can be cleaned off with a very particular type and grade of steel wool. * Most any foreign material on the surface of the Windshield can be cleaned off by using #0000 super fine steel wool. >The #0000 grade super fine steel wool can be found in most hardware stores. Please see this bulletin for further details.
- 10192650IF YOU CONFIRM The customer states HomeLink will not operate or has improper operation. ACTIONS 1. To significantly reduce unnecessary repairs, make sure: a. The vehicle is not in "Transit Mode" (if equipped). - Not in Transit Mode: With the turn signal switch is in the OFF (center) position, turn the ignition from OFF to ON. If the turn signal indicators stay OFF (do not illuminate), the vehicle is not in Transit Mode. b. The "Extended Storage Switch" (if equipped) is in the "Customer Delivery" position (pushed in). - The Extended Storage Switch is located on the fuse block that is located in the interior of the vehicle. 2. Confirm the customer is familiar with the HomeLink programming procedure located in the vehicle?s owner?s manual. 3. Test HomeLink operation with special tool HomeLink Transmitter Tester J-41540. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192642IF YOU CONFIRM: The MIL is ON with DTC P0448 (EVAP canister vent control valve close) stored in the ECM. ACTION: 1. Replace the EVAP canister (canister) and EVAP canister vent control valve (vent control valve). 2. Remove the canister filter. 3. Replace the fuel filler pipe and canister drain hose listed in PARTS INFORMATION. 4. Erase the DTC. Please see this bulletin for further details.
- 10192638SERVICE INFORMATION This bulletin has compiled Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) and Low Tire Pressure Warning System (LTPWS) information for: - Basic diagnosing of TPMS/LTPWS systems - Radio frequency interference causing a "No Data" (C1708, C1709, C1710, C1711) condition - Sensor leaks - Moving TPMS/LTPWS wheel assemblies from one vehicle to another and TPMS/LTPWS sensor registration - Air pressure changes with altitude and ambient temperatures - Aftermarket tire sealers - Aftermarket wheels - Inflating/deflating tires with TPMS/LTPWS sensors See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192615SERVICE INFORMATION The information in this bulletin is provided to help ensure correct diagnosis and repair of fluid leaks. All fluid leaks, when properly diagnosed, should be repaired (whether under warranty or customer pay) to ensure proper vehicle operation. However, certain normal operating conditions can be misdiagnosed as a leak requiring repair. Unnecessary repair or replacement of parts in connection with incorrectly diagnosed "leaks" can negatively impact customer satisfaction, be time consuming and costly, and if not performed correctly can lead to future repairs. See this bulletin for further detail.
- 10192597SERVICE INFORMATION When servicing run flat tires or low profile tires: - Special equipment and procedures are required to avoid damage. - Specifically, Tire Pressure Monitor transmitters (TPMS sensors) can be damaged when improperly dismounting and mounting tires. - TPMS sensors becoming damaged during mounting or dismounting tires are not covered under warranty. - To avoid such damage, ensure that the tire changer being used and the operator of the tire changer is capable of servicing run flat and low profile tires. - Operator?s manuals for such tire changers must be followed. See this bulletin for further detail.
