While using adaptive cruise control in stop-and-go traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge, my 2023 Ford F-150 repeatedly loses track of the vehicle directly ahead and accelerates toward its set speed despite stopped traffic in front of me, requiring me to brake manually to avoid a collision. This happens every time I cross the bridge in traffic, most recently on October 26, 2026, at about 7:33 PM, at 37,293 miles.
Backup camera IS blurry and hard to make out what IS behind vehicle
Spring of 2025 shortly after buying this truck I took it to Ford dealer to have theinspection for the axle bolts. They reported they were ok and closed the recall. On 10/5/2026 I took my truck to an independant mechanic for a leaking right rear axle seal. When he pulled the wheel off the axle bolt head fell to the ground. When he called me to let me know what was going on I told him about the recall and to wait untilI contacted Ford. When I called ford dealer who did the inspection they told me it was closed and no further action due by them. That I would be responsible for the repairs. They said they could not sell me new axles because they were kept for vehicles fixed under the recall. So, ai has my mechanic replace the sea, hub and bolt. A week later the seal failed again. I do not know if the bolt broke again or not I haven't had it to the garage yet. I have contacted customer service at Ford they refused to let me talk to someone higher up and hung up on me. I am currently driving the truck it is my main transportation. I contacted the social media group at Ford also they just gave me the run around and same answer - "the recall is closed and no further action required". My opinion Ford knows it is a costly design problem in that the bolt is insufficient for the load and they do not want to pay for the repairs.
Trace water accumulation routing from clogged/faulty drain plug to corroded DCN wiring connector during rainfall. Due to manufacturing design of '23 Ford F150 model windshield drain cowls, minor debris allowed for water to backflow into the Data Communication Network (DCN) wiring harness and Body Control Module (BCM) connectors, interior electrical components, and interior of the cab wetting the upholstery and flooring within the front passenger side of truck. Driver experienced electrical black outs within the dash and center screens, lighting failures, and multiple system alert misfires while driving the vehicle. Alerts consistently glitching on the dash screen included: Service Vehicle Soon, Pre-Collision Assist Not Available, Service Advance Trac, Rear Belt Monitor Fault Service Required. The issues were reported to Ford, whose representatives noted the history behind water damages associated with cowl/drain designs, but confirmed the issue has not been formalized for recall. This known issue presents buyers with financial and physical safety risks, known by Ford, and places full responsibility for poor engineering on new owners. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for repairs and parts replacement. All at the owners expense.
Ford recall #25SB7 notice from dealer. Took it in since my moonroof has the exact problem mentioned in the recall notice. For some reason, my truck has no recall notice.
Picking up the carseat out of the car, the handle became detached on one side which caused the seat to drop to the ground with child inside.
Due to cracking in the body seam towards the roof on the A-pillar on the drivers side. During moderate to heavy rain water enters the cab of the truck and soaks the floorboard and thus soaks electrical components underneath said floor board. Ford motor company refuses to fix it under warranty and I fear it could cause issues with my windshield or electric components in the pillar or floorboard and cause a wreck or in jeopardize my safety in other manners. If you look online it has been documented multiple times and yet ford still refuses to fix it under warranty. I discovered the issue after a rain storm last week when I opened my door to approximately a 3 inch puddle in my floor board, and the vehicle is just outside of fords “factory warranty” which when I talked to ford customer service they said I would be out of pocket on it still as they wouldn’t cover it.
The vehicle is experiencing an immediate, uncorrected mechanical steering safety defect where the internal steering geometry physically slips out of specification while driving at highway speeds. During a comprehensive diagnostic tear-down by an authorized manufacturer technician at Porter Ford on September 24–30, 2026 (RO #56117630), a structural component hardware failure was verified and documented in writing. The master technician explicitly noted that the 'steer head alignment was slipping out of spec' and that the root cause was a defective 'worm gear stake causing steer head slip.' Despite three consecutive dealership service alignment attempts, the internal steering mechanism continues to slip while the vehicle is in motion. This causes the vehicle to tracking-drift unpredictably on the highway and alters the steering wheel center position, creating an immediate loss-of-control crash hazard. The manufacturer has been unable to correct this structural failure
2023 F150 28K miles. No warnings. Continious issues with Severe transmission shifting, loud clunk and jerking/whiplash and failure to engage when first put into gear. Shudder at times around 55 mph, reared backlash issue identified but within tolerance per dealership. transmission was rebuilt resulting in more sever shifting at high speeds 10-9-8 and 3-2-1 down shifting.
Rear axle half shaft and hub replacement assembly (Manufacturer Recall Number 25S82 NHTSA Recall Number25V512). Neither Ford nor the local dealership seem to care about repairing this issue in a timely manner. The truck was inspected soon after the recall was received. The dealer confirmed that my truck fell under the recall. They supposedly placed an order for parts at that time (October 2025). A year later the repair has not been completed. I have contacted Ford Customer Service twice about the parts availability issue. Ford states the parts are available. The dealership states the parts are not available. According to the NTSB, recall repairs should happen in a timely manner. If they don't, NTSB suggests filing a complaint. I believe more than a year of waiting, with noting done, has given both Ford and the dealership ample time for repairs to be completed. This is an official complaint regarding the lack of expediency by both Ford and the local dealership.
The rear brake light led failed and ford refused to cover under their 4/48000 bumper to bumper warranty, there IS no damage to the light assembly and the failure IS going to cost $1700 to correct. For a light bulb(led so no bulb) issue, this IS fraud from ford not honoring coverages and for not selling a vehicle with non servicable parts for common failure points
I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission suddenly shifts violently, lurches from P to D, delayed shifting. This occurred while while driving under normal conditions creating a potentially dangerous situation because the truck did not respond as expected when I needed predictable acceleration or propulsion. I believe this incident may be related to the known 10R80 CDF clutch-cylinder/sleeve problem. Ford technical information identifies axial movement of the CDF sleeve that can cause hydraulic-circuit leaks and harsh or delayed engagement and shifting. This condition can result in slipping, RPM flares, delayed engagement, unexpected gear changes, harsh downshifts, lurching, or loss of propulsion. This is a safety concern, not merely a transmission quality or reliability issue. Unexpected loss of propulsion or unpredictable shifting while merging, accelerating into traffic, crossing an intersection, turning, or traveling at highway speed can create a collision hazard. Because I personally experienced this unexpected transmission event, I request that NHTSA investigate the 10R80 CDF clutch-cylinder/sleeve condition in Ford F-150s. Please review Ford warranty claims, dealer repair records, transmission replacements, consumer complaints, and field-failure data to determine whether this is a safety defect requiring a recall. I believe owners should not have to wait for a potentially dangerous transmission failure before this known condition is addressed.
This is related to obtaining a timely repair for the following recall: Manufacturer Recall Number25S82 NHTSA Recall Number25V512 Ford lacks the parts to address the recall. My recall was confirmed by the dealer, photos taken and an order placed with Ford over one year ago, after trying to have the recall addressed at another dealer. The recall was issued on May 24, 2024 and all parts are still on backorder. This is a safety concern. I get notified weekly that my vehicle needs the repairs yet none of the dealers around me have parts.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving in a rainstorm, rainwater leaked into the vehicle from the front driver’s side windshield seal onto the dashboard. The contact was concerned that the water might eventually cause electrical failures inside the dashboard. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure, and an appointment was scheduled. The failure mileage was 31,000.
I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission suddenly lost the selected gear and rims spiked and then it violently slammed into gear. It feels like it thru my truck into a limp mode. It lost 5th would not catch it going up and down thru the gears. It happened randomly. This occurred while while accelerating to merge on the highway. It also kept going it in stop and go traffic on the interstate, creating a potentially dangerous situation because the truck did not respond as expected when I needed predictable acceleration or propulsion. I believe this incident may be related to the known 10R80 CDF clutch-cylinder/sleeve problem. Ford technical information identifies axial movement of the CDF sleeve that can cause hydraulic-circuit leaks and loss of gears causing no propulsion and possibly causing a tragedy
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and activating the passenger’s side turn signal, the turn signal lever started to stick. The contact researched online and located similar failures. The contact stated that the dealer was four hours away and was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
Pirelli Tires on F150 prematurely cracking & failing w/only 16,700 miles on the tire. Tread barely has any wear. On Saturday evening XXX Left rear tire wall blew out & PSI on tire went from 35 to 0 in less than 1 second. Upon closer inspection, all tires have premature cracks in the walls & the concern is that they could also fail and explode at any moment. We were not traveling at a high speed when the rear tire wall failed, but things could have been very different if we had been a highway - without doubt a major accident would have occurred. Brought the truck immediately to Coggins Deland Ford on [XXX] on Monday morning XXX where I purchased F150 brand new about 30 months ago, there is only about 16,700 miles on the truck. I am well within the tire warranty that Ford offers for the tires & well within bumper to bumper. All 4 tires should be replaced per the Ford tire warranty as they show signs of defect. The dealer has only approved the replacement of the tire that blew out so far & instructed me to contact the tire manufacture about the other tires that are cracking at 16K miles - I contacted Pirelli and was told since the dealer is giving me a hard time, Pirelli provided me with a case number and told me to tell the dealership to file a claim which they already know to do. Ford should provide the tire warranty on the tires per their own policy that is clearly stated on [XXX]. The dealer at first tired to tell me the tire only has warranty for 12,000 but it is not true, Ford provides prorated warranty on new tires up to 36,000 miles - when I showed the tire warranty chart from [XXX]- the service manager agreed with me & told me the service rep didn't inform me correctly & apologized. I just want defective tires replaced per the warranty that I was promised when I purchased my truck, I want to feel safe driving. Ford should not risk my life or my families life- the cracks are visible. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
While driving the button to engage shift gear came off causing me to not be able to switch gears to put vehicle in park. It fell off while driving
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while attempting to park the vehicle, the gear shifter was sticking. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the gear shifter was shifted into park; however, the shifter gear independently shifted into reverse. The vehicle crashed into the garage at the residence. The contact stated that the failure had occurred after the vehicle was reversed to attach the trailer to the vehicle. The contact was almost struck by the vehicle. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
While driving at speed, my vehicle experienced a severe safety hazard: the transmission jerked violently and the engine completely stalled on the road, causing an immediate loss of power. The dealership diagnosed the truck and stated that tree debris had plugged the cowl drains at the base of the windshield. Because the drains plugged, rainwater backed up and overflowed directly into the passenger cabin, soaking the Body Control Module (BCM) and crashing the central computer network. A vehicle's central computer network should not be engineered in a way that normal outdoor tree debris can completely flood an interior cabin module and cause a dangerous drivetrain shutdown while driving.
As I was stopping at an intersection for a redlight, the brakes locked up and the collision assist warning and another message came up on the screen. There were no cars in front of me at the intersection. This is the first time that this has ever happened and the truck has 32,665 miles. No servicing has been performed on this truck beyond oil changes and tire rotations.
Passenger side vertical LED drivers running light bar is out on 2023 Ford F-150 XLT Supercrew. Have heard and seen many Ford F150 trucks that have had this issue. Faulty LED diod heats and burns the light tube from which the light is generated. THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE, IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECTIVE PART THAT MUST BE RECALLED AND REPLACED.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while reversing, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard and the brake system malfunction message displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle drove onto a hilly grass embankment before coming to a complete stop. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while loading the vehicle with motorcycles for an event. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but a diagnostic test was not performed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,500.
I am reporting a safety-related transmission problem I experienced with my 2023 Ford F-150 equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission. While driving normally, the transmission suddenly lost power and was totally unresponsive. It slammed into gear and went back to normal operation. The transmission has been reset by the dealership several times and I'm told it's normal operation for it to slam into gear on the upshift and downshift. There are no lights or warnings. This occurred while I was crossing rail road tracks creating a potentially dangerous situation because the truck did not respond as expected when I needed predictable acceleration or propulsion. I believe owners should not have to wait for a potentially dangerous transmission failure before this known condition is addressed.
While towing a 6000 pound travel trailer 6/21/26, the brakes on the trailer failed. A trailer wiring fault message came up on the dash each time I braked. It is available for inspection. How was our safety put at risk??? Stopping distance was increased substantually. When you need to stop, you need to stop! The truck has been brought to the dealer 4 times prior to this for the same problem. One of those times was for the recall on the trailer brake, May of 2026. The first time the truck was taken to the dealer for the warning message was April of 2025. The trailer was taken to the RV dealer after the incident (on my Oct 2025 visit, the dealer told me the problem was with the trailer. I wanted to rule that out). The RV dealer found no problem with the trailer brakes, and determined the problem is with the truck. The truck was then taken to the dealer July 23 with "Trailer Brake Module Fault" message every time it is started. It remains at the dealer now. They believe it is the trailer brake control module. The module is on backorder with no estimated time for repair.
