The second-row power captain's chairs in my 2026 Lincoln Navigator Black Label move forward and backward while a person is sitting in them, and do not stop when they press against an occupant. The chairs do stop when they contact an object such as a box on the floor, but they do not stop when a person is seated, so there appears to be no occupant or weight sensor that stops seat travel. The seats can be moved by a button in the rear that a younger child seated nearby can easily reach, and by front-seat controls located near the seat massage control, where they can be pressed accidentally. On several occasions this has pushed and squeezed my children while they were seated in the second row. I have six children, ages [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX] and [XXX], and both the younger kids and my adult sons have been squeezed. Once my [XXX] pressed the seat button without realizing what it did, and the seat squeezed my very tall [XXX], who had a hard time getting it to stop. This happened several times between XXX and XXX, while the vehicle was parked. Mileage: about 1,104 miles. There was no crash and no injury requiring medical care, but the seats have pinned and squeezed my children with no apparent way to stop the motion other than releasing the control. I am concerned that a smaller child, or a child's limb caught between the seat and another surface, could be seriously injured. I bought the vehicle new on XXX from Boucher Lincoln in [XXX]. I contacted the Lincoln Client Relationship Center (case XXX, XXX), and they found no recall or technical service bulletin for this condition. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the dealer. I am asking NHTSA to review whether the second-row power seats need pinch/obstruction protection or occupant detection to prevent injury.
