The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.

A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted, or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2026. Ford owners will receive letters in phases, beginning January 2026 and June 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S89. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2020 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and 2017-2020 Lincoln Continental vehicles equipped with the 360-degree camera system. Degradation of the camera's anit-reflective lens coating can lead to a foggy or cloudy rearview camera image.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 F-150, Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles. Due to a poor electrical connection, the rearview camera may intermittently display a blank or distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2022 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty vehicles equipped with gasoline engines and aluminum driveshafts. Underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture.
Risk and remedy
Risk
A fractured driveshaft can cause a loss of drive power, or a loss of vehicle control if the driveshaft contacts the ground. Additionally, unintended movement could occur while parked if the parking brake is not engaged. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and repair the driveshaft as necessary, and properly attach the underbody insulators, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 7, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S09.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2018 F-150, 2018-2020 F-250, F-350, and 2019 Escape vehicles equipped with Continental tires. On the affected vehicles, it is possible that one or more tires were cured for too long during tire production.

Risk
Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall, resulting in sudden air loss or belt edge separation which could lead to tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

Icon Vehicle Dynamics, LLC (Icon) is recalling all 05-UP FSD 2.5 Centerline Stabilizer Kits with part number 65050. The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.

Remedy

If a front seat belt pretensioner deploys as the result of a crash, the sparks may ignite materials such as carpeting or insulation within the B-pillar area.

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will apply heat resistant tape to the carpet and its insulation, and modify the B-Pillar insulation as necessary, free of charge. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks equipped with an electric tailgate latch release switch mounted in the tailgate handle. Water may enter the electrical wiring system and cause a short circuit, activating the switch and releasing the tailgate latches.

Unintended tailgate opening may allow unrestrained cargo to fall out of the truck bed and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Ford F-150 and 2017-2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, and F-550 Super Duty pick-up trucks equipped with an engine block heater and previously remedied under recall 18V894. During the previous repair, the block heater cable's splice connector may have been damaged.

A damaged cable could cause a resistive short, increasing the risk of overheated or melted wiring, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners, and dealers will disable the engine block heater from being used. On October 9, 2026 at approximately 8:30 AM, my 2019 Ford F-250 6.7L Power Stroke diesel, with 76,512 miles, suffered a catastrophic high-pressure fuel injection pump failure while traveling approximately 55 mph on FM 3351 near Camp Stanley, Texas. The vehicle displayed “Speed Limited” and “Reduced Engine Power” warnings, then lost throttle response and propulsion and the engine shut down while moving. Steering and braking effort increased substantially after the engine stopped. The truck would crank but would not restart. Alamo Diesel Service, an independent diesel repair facility, confirmed no fuel-rail pressure, fuel leaking in the engine valley, and that the injection pump had “blown and cracked the head.” Inspection revealed metallic debris and extensive fuel-system contamination requiring replacement/repair of the pump, injectors, rails, fuel lines, return lines and filters, plus cleaning of the tank and cooler. The estimate is $11,193.97. Diagnostic codes included P0087 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low) and P2291. P0087 freeze-frame data recorded the vehicle at 54.68 mph and 1,300 RPM, confirming the fuel-pressure failure occurred while driving. There were no prior fuel-system problems and the fuel filters were recently replaced. I am concerned because there is a long, documented history of failures involving this type of high-pressure diesel fuel pump, including failures that can introduce metal into the fuel system and cause loss of propulsion. Ford has also recalled certain later-model 6.7L Super Duty trucks for high-pressure fuel pump failures that can cause loss of drive power. I am requesting NHTSA evaluate whether my 2019 failure may be related to a broader safety defect. Ford has been notified under case CXH-09644112-L1W2N0 but has not inspected the vehicle. The vehicle and failed components are currently available for inspection.

NHTSA Vehicle Safety Complain To whom it may concern, My Name is [XXX] I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine (VIN: [XXX]). At approximately 137,900 miles, my vehicle suddenly lost engine power while driving and stalled without warning, creating a serious safety hazard. After stalling, the truck would not restart and had to be towed to a repair facility. The repair shop diagnosed a catastrophic failure of the diesel high-pressure fuel injection pump. According to the repair invoice, fine metallic flakes were found throughout the entire fuel system, contaminating the fuel lines, fuel tank, injectors, and related components. Because of this contamination, the shop determined that the entire fuel system required replacement, including replacement of all eight fuel injectors, cleaning of the fuel tank and fuel lines, replacement of the fuel filter, and installation of an upgraded diesel injection pump. The estimated repair cost exceeded $11,000, resulting in a significant financial burden. I understand that Ford Safety Recall 24S78 addresses a high-pressure fuel pump issue on certain 2020–2022 Ford Super Duty trucks equipped with the same 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. Although my 2019 model is not included in the recall, my vehicle experienced what appears to be a very similar failure that resulted in sudden loss of engine power while driving and complete contamination of the fuel system. I am not asserting that my vehicle is covered by the current recall. Rather, I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether the same or a substantially similar defect may also affect certain 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty vehicles equipped with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. If the investigation determines that these vehicles are affected by the same safety defect, I ask that the recall be expanded accordingly. The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, there was an abnormal diesel odor on the inside of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 65 MPH, and there was white to gray smoke coming from under the hood. The contact pulled over with the engine still running and after opening the hood, the contact became aware of diesel fuel squirting out from the secondary fuel filter. The contact stated that the fire consumed the vehicle. The fire was coming from underneath the driver's side hood and driver’s side wheel well. The Fire Department was contacted and extinguished the fire coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot, and it was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 144,000.

I experienced a severe, violent, and uncontrollable front-end suspension and steering wheel oscillation—commonly known as the "Ford Super Duty Death Wobble." While traveling at highway speeds approximately 70mph, I came across a bridge expansion joint (nothing unusual) and immediately upon impacting the joint, the front axle began shaking so violently that it caused a sudden, near-total loss of steering control. The violent shaking made it nearly impossible to maintain a straight lane of travel, risking a catastrophic multi-vehicle collision. The steering wheel jerked violently side-to-side, forcing me to rapidly and dangerously decelerate in active highway traffic to regain control of the vehicle. This defect created an extreme, unpredictable safety hazard. I immediately let-off the accelerator with some braking to stop the oscillation and regain control. A local specialty alignment shop previously attempted an adjustment, as I had experienced this a couple of months before (although not as severe as this most recent incident) on [XXX] in eastern [XXX]. The adjustment temporarily masked the underlying issue for approximately 2.5 months before the violent oscillation returned as I am reporting now. The local Ford dealership (Victory Ford) has confirmed that the vehicle qualifies for Customer Satisfaction Program 20B02 (Steering Linkage Damper Replacement), demonstrating the manufacturer's awareness of this dangerous defect. However, no formal safety recall has been issued. Aside from Fords damper replacement online research and an independent alignment shop recommends replacement of track bars, bushings, steering damper, etc. with heavy duty parts. I am filing a complaint against Capital Auto Mall Premier regarding the sale of a 2019 Ford F\-250 Lariat \(VIN [XXX]\) that I purchased on XXX. The vehicle was represented as being in good working condition at the time of sale. However, almost immediately after taking possession of the vehicle, I began discovering numerous mechanical, electrical, and safety\-related defects. Due to the number of concerns, I had the vehicle independently inspected shortly after purchase. The inspection identified multiple significant issues, including transmission hard shifting, transfer case clunking during shifting, battery failure requiring replacement, steering and suspension concerns, excessive play in front suspension components, and numerous diagnostic trouble codes stored in the vehicle's systems. In addition to these findings, I discovered issues involving vehicle lighting, winch operation, and other features and equipment that were not functioning properly despite being expected to be operational at the time of sale. These issues became apparent within days of purchasing the vehicle. The quantity and severity of the defects lead me to believe that the vehicle was not in the condition represented during the sale and that material defects may not have been properly disclosed before the transaction occurred. As a result of these issues, I have incurred costs associated with inspections and diagnostics and am obtaining additional repair estimates to determine the full cost of necessary repairs. The defects significantly impact the vehicle's safety, reliability, usability, and value. I have supporting documentation, including the purchase agreement, financing documents, independent inspection reports, diagnostic findings, photographs, repair estimates, and records of communications regarding the vehicle. The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH on a cross-country move, the rear windshield was loose and was shaking inside the frame. The contact stated the rear glass remained attached and hanging within the frame. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer replaced the rear window frame and window bracket, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

At around 139,000 miles i started to noticed some intermittent noise coming from the drivetrain. I took it to two different repair shops and was told it was tire noise. over time the grinding noise increased to the point of shuddering and jerking while shifting with no warning lamps showing. At 144,500 miles I contacted my aftermarket warranty and they said to take it to a certified shop to get it checked out. They did not have any preferred shops in my area so I took it to US Automotive. At 145,000 miles the shop contacted the warranty company and proceeded with investigation of the issue. After inspection and tear down they confirmed the transmission had the typical failure for the 10R80 10-speed automatic transmissions. They turned over there findings and the warranty company which has agreed to the findings and has offered a replacement used transmission with 125,000 miles on it and will also not cover the full cost to install the used unit. I feel that this is fraud and outside of the warranty agreement. I am now paying the expense to put the original transmission back into the truck to try to take it the 2.5 hours back to the dealership which sold me the truck along with the warranty to see what they will do in the matter. I hope it doesn't fail on the highway on the way.

Our whole family has been riding in this vehicle when the truck experienced the truck lag and turn off at highway speeds. Does someone have to be hurt or killed by this for this company to finally own up? I hope none does!!! Make it right FORD!!! Yet they changes and updated the newer trucks pumps after this, why? REDICULOUS

While driving at highway speeds, I drove over an expansion joint on a bridge and experienced violent shaking of the vehicle. This included violent shaking of the steering wheel and interior of the truck. I also slowed down to under 30 mph on the highway to stop the shaking. This occurred several other times and, upon researching, found it to be called a "death wobble". I brought my truck to a Ford dealership service center and mentioned the death wobble, which was immediately acknowledged. This cost $1758 out of pocket to fix. From research I have done, it seems all suspension components should not need any type of repair or replacement prior to reaching 50,000 miles, with some components lasting as much as 100,000 miles.

My husband was driving our 2019 F250 on the highway at over 75 mph and the truck totally shut down/stalled without warning, could have killed him or another person, lucky he was able to coast to the shoulder and stop, we took to the Ford dealership and was caused by the faulty CP4 fuel pump the truck was made with that has had class action lawsuits and recalls, we are out of pocket over $14,000 to rebuild entire fuel system due to the fact that fuel pump is NOT compatible with our diesel fuel leading to metal shavings build up in fuel system. Our truck still has no recall on this and it should and we should be reimbursed for the extremely expensive and lengthy repair, this is a very dangerous issue. The mechanic also stated he "duplicated" the stall when he go on the highway and hit speeds over 60 mph, thank goodness he is ok as well.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250 equipped with Cooper Tires, Tire Line: Discoverer AT3, Tire Size: 295/60/R20, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH and hauling a trailer, the vehicle jolted into oncoming traffic and started wobbling. The contact regained control of the vehicle and eventually steered to the side of the road and parked the vehicle. The contact became aware of a flat spot on the tire, and the spare tire was placed on the driver’s side front. The contact continued driving, and the wobbling became controllable at speeds under 50 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the residence, where the contact observed that the driver's side front tire had tire separation in the middle of the tire. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 37,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 52,000.

Without warning while I was driving at ~70 mph on the highway the engine in my truck died and left me with no power brakes or power steering in busy traffic. This is a very scary situation to be in. I pulled over and checked the truck best I could. Started it back up and carefully pulled back out onto the highway when it died again. I took it to the closest Ford service center and after diagnosis, they told me the CP4 pump is failing and will need to be replaced at a cost of ~$14,000. My research shows this is a common issue for Ford for a certain year range which my truck is in and they have recently paused the recall addressing the issue so the recall is not showing up when searching my VIN. I would appreciate Ford claiming that this is a safety issue and reimburse me for my out of pocket costs.

The vehicle was taken to have the rims balanced, and the contact was advised by the technician that the steel rims were not rated for a 3/4-ton vehicle. The contact stated that the seller's website had listed the rims as compatible for a 3/4-ton vehicle. The contact returned the rims to the seller; however, the contact felt that the seller should have correctly identified the wheels for the correct vehicle weight, because the vehicle was used to haul trailers.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. While driving at approximately 20 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from underneath the vehicle, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the dealer stated that the cause of the abnormal sound and the illuminated check engine warning light was unknown. The contact was notified of an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to have the VIN added to the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 205,000.

We believe the fuel line came off of the fuel filter. The truck caught fire and went up in flames. There is nothing left of the truck other than the frame. CHP and the fire department came to the scene. They put the fire out and the truck has been taken to the tow yard. Nothing has been inspected yet.

The Office of Defect Investigations (ODI) has received 27 complaints alleging diesel fuel leaks due to a fracture in the secondary fuel filter housing in model year (MY) 2015-2021 Ford Motor Company (Ford) F-250, 350, 450, and 550 Super Duty vehicles equipped with 6.7L diesel engines. Of these complaints, 12 describe an engine compartment fire. The proximity of the secondary fuel filter to high heat sources creates a potential for autoignition thermal events and fires. ODI has contacted the vehicle manufacturer, Ford, and the filter manufacturer, Allevard Sogefi USA (Sogefi), and learned that the low-pressure fuel system is capable of a maximum operating pressure of 8.5 Bar, while the secondary fuel filter is only tested to seven (7) Bar during the manufacturing process. Additionally, changes starting in 2022 by both Ford and Sogefi align with a lack of similar complaints on MY 2022 and newer vehicles. ODI is opening this Preliminary Evaluation (PE) to evaluate the severity of the potential problem and to fully assess the potential safety-related problems. In January 2021, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened a Recall Query (RQ21-001) to assess allegations of post-recall remedy uncommanded tailgate openings in model year (MY) 2017-2019 F-250/350/450 Ford trucks. Besides the recall remedy launched in January 2020, Ford also implemented a production update in November 2019. At the time of the RQ opening, ODI had received eleven (11) Vehicle Owner Questionnaires (VOQs). ODI sent an Information Request (IR) to Ford in February 2021. In numerous meetings after receiving their IR response, Ford highlighted the drop in claims since the recall and production update and communicated how they were unable to verify the owners’ complaints or replicate the concern. Despite this, Ford began developing ways to prevent uncommanded tailgate openings from various human, mechanical or electrical causes. Based on testing, Ford issued a Customer Satisfaction program, 21M05-S1/S2/S3, to further address the potential of unintended tailgate openings. This work was applied to vehicles being produced as of December 20, 2021. The program began for already delivered vehicles on July 22, 2022. The covered models include 2017-2022 F-250, 350, 450, 550, 650 and 750 Super Duty and 2020-2022 F-600 Super Duty trucks. ODI has received 39 VOQs between February 24, 2020, and December 15, 2023, alleging uncommanded tailgate openings. In a detailed analysis, none of the vehicles in the VOQs were found to have received the Customer Satisfaction update. Since ODI has not received any complaints of post-Customer Satisfaction program tailgate openings, this office is closing this Recall Query. The closing of this investigation does not constitute a finding by NHTSA that a safety-related defect does not exist. By letter dated December 4, 2019, Ford Motor Company (Ford) notified the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) of a safety defect that may exist in model years (MY) 2017 through 2019 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450 vehicles equipped with an electric tailgate. Following the receipt of five consumer complaints alleging unintended tailgate opening without vehicle operator knowledge, while the vehicles were in motion, NHTSA opened this investigation to assess the manufacturer's data including warranty claims, field reports, design changes, etc.In vehicles equipped with an electric tailgate, water can enter the electrical wiring system and may cause a short circuit resulting in the unintended activation and release of the tailgate latch. This could allow unintended opening of the tailgate while the vehicle is in motion.Analysis of the data provided by Ford found that the frequency of a tailgate opening unintended was high in vehicles equipped with electric tailgates. Unintended tailgate opening without vehicle operator knowledge may result in loss of unrestrained cargo, increasing the risk of a crash. In response to this investigation, Ford decided to conduct recall 19V-864.Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a Ford dealer to modify the tailgate/frame wiring harnesses by adding jumper pigtails to isolate the tailgate release control circuits, and will install a new tailgate handle release switch. With recall action 19V-864 taken by Ford Motor Company this investigation is closed. Further use of agency resources does not appear to be warranted.The closing of this investigation does not constitute a finding by NHTSA that a safety-related defect does not exist on other model or MY vehicles outside of the recall scope. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. When performingdiagnostics and repairs on SYNC Gen 3 or later, select the diagnostics tab and search for related symptoms,DTCs and keywords. The search results will be shown in the search results pane. Read and follow allTechnical Service Bulletins (TSB), Special Service Message (SSM)s or General Service Bulletin (GSB) first if abulletin specifically addresses the vehicle concern. If there are no messages, run the appropriate diagnosticpinpoint test found in the Workshop Manual (WSM). Follow the steps in the pinpoint test. Make sure to note thetitle of the guided routine, using the correct one for the vehicle's symptom or diagnostic trouble code (DTC) iscritical. Depending on the outcome of the pinpoint test, a repair validation code (RVC) may be generated eitherin the pinpoint test or Guided Routine. If the vehicle concern still exists after following the pinpoint tests orguided routine, then a manual RVC can be generated using the RVC Assist Form. A manual RVC can only begenerated once the above process has been followed.
- 10251952For 2015-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines and customer concern of an engine oil leak, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-00 for oil leak inspection and testing methods. Ford has evaluated turbochargers replaced for oil leak symptoms and although oil may collect on the external surface of a turbocharger, it is extremely rare for a turbocharger assembly to be the root cause of the oil leak. Careful inspection of the turbocharger oil feed and drain tubes should be performed along with the recommended WSM procedures as needed. Warranty claims for turbocharger replacement going forward will be assessed.
- 10251934During service and repair requiring removal and replacement of a crankshaft bolt and/or crankshaft damper, achieving proper torque of the crankshaft pulley bolt is critical. Incorrect torque may allow the bolt to loosen resulting in the timing gear breaking and engine damage. Replacement of the bolt is critical to the repair and accurately following the installation procedure in the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section, 303-01 is extremely important. The bolt torque procedure can be found in the crankshaft front seal removal and installation procedure or in the engine assembly procedure.

While performing a programmable module installation (PMI) using the Integrated Diagnostic Service (IDS) scan tool, an error message may state: Configuration Failed, Would You Like To Retry? This may be due to improper module replacement steps. Make sure that the original module is installed in the vehicle, delete the vehicle session, then start a new vehicle session. Once the session starts, run the PCM PMI and install the new PCM only when the scan tool instructs. Finish the PMI by following the prompts given by IDS. If the original PCM is not available, it is possible to configure the module by running as-built programming on the PCM. When IDS asks to obtain part numbers or configuration data, select configuration data.

- 102377892011-2023 F-Super Duty and 2016-2024 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an elevated idle condition. During prolonged idle time, vehicles may experience this elevated idle to reduce unburned hydrocarbons from the SCR. The powertrain control module estimates hydrocarbon levels in the SCR and may increase idle speed to remove them. Idle speed will be increased to 1000 RPM for ambient temperatures near 26C (80F) and may increase to 1200 RPM at -40 C (-40F). Vehicles may exhibit exhaust smoke and diesel exhaust fluid smell during elevated idle condition. Exhaust smoke and smell condition will not affect reliability or durability of the engine. Power take-off (PTO) use and idle set point control will disable elevated speed. It is required that the operator monitor the vehicle and adhere to any Exhaust Filter warning messages.

This may be due to water intrusion within connectors C3613 and/or C4851/C3610 on the reductant harness going to the reductant pump/heater assembly and the reductant level sensor/quality module. This may also be due to movement of the wiring harness causing terminal fretting. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the reductant tank harness, the reductant pump/heater assembly and/or the reductant tank, as well as securing the wiring harness using a cable zip tie fastener.

It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.

This may be due to a stuck/binding temperature door within the climate control housing or binding/inoperative temperature door actuator. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1081:07 may be present in the front controls interface module (FCIM) or heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to remove the climate control housing and replace the temperature door cam(s), lubricate the temperature blend door bearing surface, and apply flock tape to actuator to seal out debris.

- 10228880Some 2015-2023 F-150, 2017-2022 F-Super Duty, and 2019-2023 Ranger vehicles may exhibit dust ingress into the cabin through the doors or air extractors. This may be due to the climate control system being in recirculation mode as a result of the recirculation button being on or automatic strategies for heating/cooling efficiency. To minimize dust ingress when driving in off-road or secondary road conditions, make sure that all doors and windows are fully closed and the climate control system is switched to defrost on and the instrument panel and footwell air vents are switched to off. Temperature and fan settings may be adjusted as desired. Alternatively, max defrost can be activated which will adjust all settings automatically. Operating in defrost mode will keep constant air flow through the rear air extractors and other small areas, helping minimize dust ingress.

- 10228867Some 2011-2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit a ticking noise at idle after an engine oil change. It is often referred to as Typewriter Noise because of its similarity to the sound of a mechanical typewriter. When engine temperatures reach 150 F (65 C) or higher, (from engine idle up to approximately 1700 RPM's), this noise can typically be heard at the front wheel well and is often isolated to the transmission bell housing or oil pan area. Typewriter Noise is not detrimental to engine function or durability and has no short or long term effects on the engine. Do not attempt repairs to eliminate this noise. This noise is characteristic of the 6.7L diesel engine and will typically cease or diminish significantly within the oil change maintenance interval.

If there is an issue with the center molding (warped, damaged condition, loose, or if the molding is missing), the trim cover is now available separately. - 10225454Some 2017-2020 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with dual rear wheels (DRW) and 17 inch aluminum wheels may exhibit a loss of tire pressure from the valve stem sealing area of the front wheels. This may be due to corrosion of the wheel preventing the valve stem from sealing properly. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to clean the corrosion from the valve stem sealing area of the affected wheel.
- 10225446Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty chassis cab/dual rear wheel (DRW) pickup vehicles and 2016-2019 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit a concern of oil consumption in applications where the engine is idled for extended periods of time. This may be due to high crankcase pressure as a result of the crankcase ventilation filter element becoming restricted. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the crankcase oil separator and to inspect the turbocharger to determine whether the turbocharger needs to be replaced. Note: The new crankcase vent oil separator appears different from the old crankcase vent oil separator as it no longer includes a serviceable filter element.
- 10222789Some 2017-2022 F-250-F-550, 2015-2020 F-150 and 2018-2022 Expedition vehicles without push button start and passive entry may exhibit a condition where it is difficult to insert the ignition key and/or turn it to the accessory position when removing the ignition lock cylinder per the functional lock cylinder service procedure in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-14. This may be due to debris or contamination in the ignition lock cylinder. If this concern occurs, use a suitable shop vacuum to dislodge or remove debris or contamination by placing the vacuum hose over the lock cylinder, without the key installed, for 30 seconds. Insert the ignition key and reattempt turning it to the accessory position for lock cylinder removal. If the key will not turn to the accessory position, continue with the non-functional lock cylinder removal procedure.

- 10222258Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with adaptive steering may require steering wheel replacement for various reasons. The steering wheel assembly contains the steering effort control module (SECM) and steering angle sensor module (SASM). Previous software versions of the Integrated Diagnostic Software (IDS) scan tool may not have programed the SECM properly after replacement. Engineering has corrected the concern and SECM programming can now be successfully performed on these vehicles using the latest software level of IDS.
- 10222191Some 2015-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles may experience a transmission fluid leak from a cracked transmission case or transmission fluid pan. This may be due to a driveline vibration condition. For vehicles that have a concern with a cracked transmission case (Figures 1-2) or fluid pan (Figures 3-4), the rear driveline imbalance most often is the root cause of this concern. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the rear driveline.
